The Nineteen-cent Prexie
Postage due use
This is one of the most unusual possible uses for a nineteen-cent Prexie. Assuming the cover is not a fabrication, the stamp served to collect postage due on a letter mailed from Central Asia without postage. The "57" in manuscript below the rightmost "T" would translate to nineteen cents if at the time one cent was equal to three centimes.
Any help in deciding if this is a legitimate usage would be welcomed.
