There is no definitive way to determine how much of the $10.35 charge paid on this tag was postage and how much was registry fee. One possibility is that the items weighed sixteen pounds and were shipped with $1,000 liability. The $1,000 figure was chosen because I am aware that there are three or four such tags, and assume that the shipments were split up to limit the size of any loss. Other liability limits could result in other distributions between postage and fees.
