Airmail to Africa

African countries with fifty cents per half ounce airmail routed through Europe via FAM 19 from May 23, 1939 until November 1, 1941 include British Cameroons, Cameroun, Equatorial Guinea, French Equatorial Africa and the Belgian Congo. Other African countires joined the list on July 1, 1939 with ending dates ranging from late 1940 to late 1946.

A cover sent to Kribi, Cameroun in March of 1940. It was sent March 4, and is backstamped at Douala, Cameroun on March 31.
