Surface transport to a UPU country in Europe (other than Spain) and airmail within Europe was eight cents for the first ounce from July 1, 1932 until October 1, 1946.
A letter sent by steamer from New York to Lisbon and on to Hamburg by air from there in May of 1941. It was subject to German censorship only.
