The year date on this cover is difficult to read, but appears to be 1949. The dated cancel implies that it was sent first class during the second period when first class mail was three cents and minimum insurance cost five cents, January 1, 1949 to January 2, 1957. It also might have been sent third class with postage for a weight above two but under or equal to three ounces.
